Since childhood Mary-Kate was inspired by and acquired her love of art through her talented artistic mother. She studied Fine Art at York University and received her Honours B.F.A in Visual Art. She also spent several years working as a graphic artist.
Mary-Kate is awed by the beauty in nature and seeks to portray it’s splendour through her vivid use of colour. Recent experimentation with encaustic medium has allowed her the versatility of creating texture and dimensionality in her work.
Several of Mary-Kate’s works are held in private collections.
