Ted Amsden is a retired photojournalist, commercial photographer, writer, instructor and Cobourg’s Poet Laureate. He lurks behind a camera with much glee and curiosity. Exploring what others ignore, he captures objects and spaces at the intersection of memory and dissolution.
“Photography is particularly good medium to map the landscape of surfaces and capture the mood of spaces as they undergo the metamorphosis initiated by abandonment. Time and Nature paint what has been left behind with unusual colours and changing hues.

Located in one of Cobourg’s historic Main Street buildings, the gallery space – just a half block east of Cobourg’s historic town hall – is also the location of the Creative Collective, a collaboration of professionals dedicated to communication, design and technical innovation.
